Mines Advisory Group (MAG)
Fundraising & Engagement Director
Location: MAG head office, Manchester
MAG saves lives and builds safer futures by working with others to reclaim land contaminated with the debris of conflict, to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians, and to create safe and secure conditions for development. MAG shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as a founding member of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines for their work to ban landmines. Their vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict.
People are at the heart of all that MAG does and it is an exciting place to work, where staff can see how they are directly contributing to changing people’s lives and be proud of the organisation they work for.
The charity is now looking for a Fundraising and Engagement Director to deliver a bold five-year fundraising strategy which sets out an exciting path for the future and supports MAG’s overall strategy to achieve the maximum impact for the maximum number of people in the world’s most marginalised, vulnerable or forgotten communities.
As well as leading the delivery of fundraising growth from public sources and of the development and oversight of a dynamic and exciting MAG brand, as part of the MAG Leadership Team the role also involves providing strategic leadership and oversight to the organisation to ensure a strong, accountable and sustainable future for MAG.
MAG is seeking a motivational leader with a positive outlook and a strong knowledge of managing a diverse range of fundraising models; a demonstrable track record of successful income generation; a strong knowledge of brand design and management; and finally who has led and represented an organisation at a senior level. They must also have strong communication and organisational skills.
