Prostate Cancer UK
Associate Director of Fundraising
Location: London (London Bridge)
Salary: Up to £75,000
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple vision: to stop men dying from prostate cancer, currently the most common cancer in men. Last year their team of specialist nurses answered a record-breaking almost 14,000 enquiries from people who had queries about prostate cancer. Through a strategy of shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support, the organisation wants to make prostate cancer a disease the next generation of men need not fear.
Prostate Cancer UK is now looking for a new Associate Director of Fundraising to continue their phenomenal growth in income and to learn and develop with them, as they devise and implement an audience focused approach, offering gold standard customer experience. They are looking for someone who is strategic, analytical and insightful to help raise the additional critical funds that are needed to meet Prostate Cancer UK’s goal to stop men dying from cancer in ten years. You must have ambition, drive for insight-led decision making and the ability to empower and motivate others, particularly a highly-driven fundraising team which has achieved significant year on year income growth.
As a key member of the leadership team, you must also be proficient at collaborating with others to make effective decisions about income generation, cross-cutting customer experience and organisational strategy.
You will need to have experience of developing and delivering integrated fundraising strategies across the range of fundraising disciplines, as well as of guiding organisational decisions at leadership team level and a strong track record of growing income. You will be driven by a desire to be audience-led, and an excellent, inspiring people-manager and communicator with experience of leading high-level external relationships.
This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a creative, dynamic and open organisation and to make a real difference to the organisation’s goal to stop men dying from prostate cancer.
