‘Road to the Vatican’, Part 3: presenting the Catholic Generosity Report to Pope Leo XIV
The final stop on the road was St Peter's Square. After the weekly General Audience, a delegation from Catholics in Fundraising (CiF) presented the Catholic Generosity Report to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. Our Imogen Ward was there with them.
‘Road to the Vatican’, part 2: what we know about Catholic giving
Behind the headline figures in the Catholic Generosity Report is a closer look at how Catholics actually give. Much of that generosity takes the form of regular support for parishes and charities people have known for years. Wealthier donors want to see their money put to good use, while faith and personal relationships often shape the causes they choose.
‘Road to the Vatican’, part 1: introducing The Catholic Generosity Report
The Catholic Generosity Report has reached Rome, where it was presented to Pope Leo XIV. It is the first detailed study of how Catholics in the UK give and the charities they support. The findings point to a substantial contribution. We estimate that UK Catholics give around £2.9bn a year through parishes, dioceses, schools, hospices, missions and hundreds of smaller charities.
