I CAN has ambitious plans for growth over the next three years and needs to grow its voluntary fundraising income to allow the charity to develop pioneering new approaches in supporting children who have trouble communicating.
Director of Development
The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser, an outstanding project manager and communicator, who can bring energy, structure and a collaborative spirit to the role.

Over 14 years as Director of Fundraising he trebled the income of the British Red Cross and over his career has led teams raising over £1.5bn for humanitarian causes. A former Chair of the Institute of Fundraising and regularly voted the most influential fundraiser in the UK , Mark is a truly inspiring non profit leader.
Tobin has led the fundraising and communications functions for major charities such as Concern Worldwide, WWF, Sightsavers and National Deaf Children's Society
Imogen Ward has over 20 years' experience of senior nonprofit leadership roles including being the CEO of an African education charity, the Lessons for Life Foundation and also Marketing and Communications Director of the emergency medical charity MERLIN
Non Executive Chair
Over a 38-year career Patrick has set up 12 charities, social enterprises, cooperatives and companies. Now coaching charity leaders, consulting and supporting growing enterprises, he is experienced in financial management, service development, fundraising and digital transformation.
Amanda is highly respected in the charity sector as an experienced consultant on organisational development and strategy. Before becoming a consultant, Amanda worked with Levi Strauss and Greenpeace in Asia and Australia and with ActionAid in the UK on brand direction and marketing strategy.

Quinton has a background in the commercial recruitment sector. He was Save the Children and Marie Stopes International’s in house recruiter, sourcing candidates across the organisation, including fundraising, operations and programmes.
Poppy is a senior fundraising and marketing strategist with extensive experience of developing major campaigns and innovation strategies. At Cancer Research UK she significantly grew Race for Life and launched Stand Up To Cancer. Poppy now consults for Movember, Save the Children and UNICEF.
Jane provides project co-ordination and administrative assistance working across all aspects of the Astarita Aldrich & Ward business.

With a background in commercial sector marketing as well as executive search, Liz specialises in both senior permanent and interim hires ranging from CEO to Director level across all functions, with a particular focus on Business Development and Marketing roles.

Bertie is one of the best known digital consultants operating across the INGO sector internationally. He has over 20 years of experience in digital marketing and has worked with over 80 non-profits including British Heart Foundation, Breast Cancer Care , UNICEF, WFP, Sue Ryder Care and Handicap International.
Senior Consultant (Recruitment)
Anton has over 10 years working in recruitment with stints at Harris Hill and Next Employment. Anton has always specialised in fundraising talent with a particular focus on senior level roles. Anton joined AAW in June 2017 and has already added value to AAW in managing senior management recruitment campaigns.
